Oppland County Library is a key centre for the development of innovative approaches in the management of the local bibliographic and information system and plays an important role in the development of initiatives among the local community of Oppland County. The Library coordinates and provides services for 26 public libraries and 15 school libraries. 

Oppland County Library is part of the structure of Oppland municipality. The Library has administration staff of 10. The library is a structure of specific organization of the library fund. Half of the employees are consultants with experience in project management.

The Library has a fund of valuable books on the country’s local history. This collection is kept in the Gjøvik Library. The Library has a rich mobile collection of children’s books.
